Be careful when purchasing (imitation) products and when selling on unauthorized websites.
Beware of the sale of perfumes, decants and samples on unauthorized websites, subscription websites or in stores not listed in this overview. These products may be synthetic imitations, outdated or even stolen, or they may be products not produced by the perfume houses in question.
Our partners (the perfume houses of which we are the official distributor) are committed to stopping the sale of counterfeit and "black market" products of the brands we distribute.
The first priorities of the brands we distribute, AAFKES and our authorized retailers, are always the safety and customer satisfaction of the consumer. Therefore, we want to warn consumers about (counterfeit) products and sales on unauthorized websites and stores.
We are aware that unauthorized websites and stores may offer products that resemble the brands officially distributed by us, for example by forging logos and authorization seals, with the aim of misleading consumers. The products sold on these websites may be opened, stolen, used, unpacked or have damaged packaging (or no packaging), may not have batch codes or may have false batch codes, or may have been stored incorrectly, which may result in damage to the perfumes.
To protect consumers from stolen, outdated perfumes or products that, due to changing legislation, may no longer be sold, or that are offered as counterfeit products (which can be dangerous to health due to illegal use of ingredients), we advise you to only purchase perfumes from authorized retailers. Only this way can you be 100% sure that you are purchasing an authentic, safe and high-quality product that complies with EU regulations.
Stay away from (online) shops that offer perfumes without batch codes or decoded perfumes or sell testers. They can and will never tell you where they get their products from and can therefore never guarantee the origin of the products. Authorized retailers will always refer to AAFKES when asked where they buy the products.
Removing batch codes is dangerous and illegal. According to the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009, Chapter VI, Consumer Information, Article 19E, it is mandatory to indicate batch codes on perfume boxes (and bottles) to identify the product and thus inform and protect the consumer.
Price differences, whether large or small, can be an indication that the products offered may not be authentic. They may be counterfeit, tampered or even stolen goods. Trade websites generally cannot guarantee the authenticity and origin of the products offered on their platforms, and as an official distributor of the brands, we cannot guarantee the same for products sold on unauthorized websites or in unauthorized stores.
Please consider carefully whether it is worth the potential health risks of purchasing perfumes from uncertified (online) stores, and whether you are contributing to a market that may be opaque and where there is a risk of illegal activities.
The only way to be sure that you are not purchasing counterfeit, tampered or stolen products is to purchase products only from authorized retailers.
If you have purchased a product from an unauthorized store or website, and it resembles one of the brands distributed by AAFKES, or it shows signs of tampering or does not contain original packaging, we ask you to share the details of your purchase with us so that we can help you in the fight against the sale of (counterfeit) products and their distribution through unauthorized channels.
Even if a shop or webshop claims to be authorized (for example with the designation "CERTIFIED SHOP" or "CUSTOMER CERTIFIED"), this does not automatically mean that they are actually authorized. In the overview on this page you will find the only official authorized points of sale and webshops.
